May 24, 2024 by

The Suzuki GSX-R was the pinnacle of superbikes when it launched in 2002, but this one has been heavily modified to make it unstoppable off-road. It has a 1,000cc engine with 140hp, and it only weighs 198kg.

This GSX-R has some off-road tyres, underbody protection and a raft of other modifications to make sure it can survive a day battling through the mud. All-in, this frankenbike costs around £5,000.

Taking on the bike is a purpose-built off-road buggy, the Polaris RZR. It’s packing a 1.0-litre two-cylinder engine with 112hp, and it tips the scales at 745kg. It may appear to be setting off on the back foot, but don’t forget it has four-wheel drive compared to the Suzuki’s one-wheel drive. All-in, this RZR will set you back £29,000.

We’ll be comparing these two vehicles over a series of challenges to test things like agility, grip and outright speed, but which one will come out on top? You’ll have to watch the video to find out.
