Porsche Cayenne Coupe price and release date
You can place your order for a Cayenne Coupe now, although you’ll have to wait a couple of months before it’s delivered. There are two models in the range – the ‘standard’ 340hp Cayenne Coupe costs from £62,129, precisely, while the outrageous 550hp Cayenne Turbo Coupe starts at £104,729.
Porsche Cayenne Coupe styling
It’s the Coupe’s rear end that marks it out from the standard Cayenne, with the sloping roofline falling sharply away, compared with the Cayenne’s boxier behind. While it might not look it, the Coupe’s roof is also 20mm lower, it has a more steeply raked windscreen and rear wheel arches that are 18mm wider. And if that doesn’t do it for you, how about a rear spoiler that rises up at speed – just like you get in a Porsche 911…
Porsche Cayenne Coupe interior
But while the Coupe shares its spoiler in common with the two-seater 911, it’s in another league when it comes to practicality. Up front, it’s near identical to the spacious regular Cayenne with a pair of eight-way adjustable sports seats, but peer into the back and you’ll see two rear seats in place of the SUV’s three-seater bench. Those seats sits 30mm lower than they do in the Cayenne to eke out as much rear headroom as possible from that low roof. Porsche also throws in a panoramic glass sunroof as standard to help make the cabin feel light and airy. And, if you want to maximise practicality, you can still have a three-seater bench as a no-cost option. The boot, meanwhile, is massive – its 625-litre capacity is big enough to swallow a family’s luggage for two weeks away.
Porsche Cayenne Coupe performance
The Porsche Cayenne Coupe comes with a choice of two engines. The first is a 3.0-litre 340hp V6, which gets it from 0-60mph in six seconds and on to a top speed of 150mph. The Cayenne Turbo Coupe annihilates those figures though, its 550hp twin-turbocharged V8 blasts it from 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds and onto a top speed of 177mph. Fuel economy… pah! Who cares in a petrol-powered large SUV. Just as well, because you’ll be doing well to get 22mpg out of either.
Porsche Cayenne Coupe specs
Standard equipment on the Coupe includes 20-inch alloy wheels, front and rear parking assist with reversing camera and a Sports Chrono Package.
Porsche Cayenne Coupe options
But, to give you the full Porsche experience, the Cayenne Coupe will also be offered with a variety of expensive options, although exactly how pricey they’ll be has yet to be confirmed. They include a light-weight carbon fibre roof to replace the standard glass version, huge 22-inch alloy wheels and the Sport Design styling pack. It bundles together checked fabric inserts with Alcantara leather seats and carbon fibre interior trim pieces and, on the Turbo model, a louder sports exhaust.
