What is Jeep Trailhawk?

Once you’ve set your heart on which new car is for you, there are still some rather difficult decisions you’ll have to make. One of these is which trim level you’re going to plump for – everyone wants a nicely kitted out car, but you don’t want to pay for items that you don’t need.

In Jeep’s case, the top trim-level comes in the form of Trailhawk. Given that Jeeps are known for being good off-road, it may come as no surprise to find that not only will Trailhawk add an array of interior and exterior enhancements, it also claims to have  everything you’ll need should you venture off the tarmac.

Remember, to have a look at our new car deals pages to get the best prices on new Jeeps, straight from only the very best approved dealers.

How much is Jeep Trailhawk?

For a Jeep Renegade Trailhawk you’ll have to shell out around £28,000 – that’s around £6,000 more than the next model down in the range. If you want the all-conquering abilitiy of a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, it’ll cost you over £38,000. That means a stonking £12,000 lies between it and the most basic model in the range.

Is Jeep Trailhawk worth it?

While both the Renegade and the Cherokee are sensible, roomy SUVs, in Trailhawk guise their prices increase exponentially. While they add an array of extras that’ll come in handy if you find yourself in a muddy field, most people will find they can have exactly the same level of interior opulence with mid-range trims.

It’s also worth remembering that the Cherokee Trailhawk is only available with a 3.2-litre petrol engine making it not only expensive to buy but a burden to run too. On the other hand, if you’re after a four-wheel-drive that’s got go-anywhere ability and American panache, you need look no further than a Trailhawk Jeep.
