Drag race: Bugatti Chiron Super Sport vs tuned Lamborghini Huracan vs WRX Mini

Mat’s taken the wheel of the Bugatti for this drag race, and you can’t blame him can you? This ultra-luxurious hypercar is packing an 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine with 1,600hp and 1,600Nm of torque. This is sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. All the high-quality leather does add to the weight, with this car tipping the scales at 1,995kg, and it adds to the price as well. This car will set you back a gut wrenching £4 million.

That makes the tuned Lamborghini Huracan parked next to it seem like a bit of a bargain at £300,000. It has a 5.2-litre V10 which is usually naturally-aspirated, however this one has had a couple of turbos strapped to it by the folks at JM Imports. As a result it’s capable of putting out 1,800hp, however it’s been dialled down today to ‘just’ 1,600hp. This is sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and the car weighs in at 1,650kg.

Finally, we have a bit of a wildcard with a WRX Mini hatchback. This is actually the rarest car here, being one of one, and it’s powered by a dinky four cylinder engine. That may seem a bit underwhelming compared to the Bugatti, it has four times the cylinders after all, but this plucky little car still puts out 600hp and 1,000Nm of torque. It’s also all-wheel-drive, and a lot lighter than the other cars here, so it should put forward a decent case for itself.
