Drag race: Jeep Cherokee Trackhawk vs Bentley Continental GTC Speed vs Audi RS5 vs BMW M2

We’ve got an eclectic mix of cars for you in today’s drag race, however they’re more closely matched than you might think…

For today’s race, Mat’s behind the wheel of a Jeep Cherokee Trackhawk. It has a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 with 707hp and 875Nm of torque. This drives all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox with launch control. It’s on the heavy side, weighing in at 2,433kg.

Next up, we have the Bentley Continental GTC Speed. Under the bonnet lies a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine, putting out 660hp and 900Nm of torque. It has an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with launch control, sending power to all four wheels. Despite being a slinky looking convertible, it weight around the same as the Jeep at 2,436kg.

The Audi RS5 Sportback is the next to line up. It has a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 with 450hp and 600Nm of torque. It has Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system, as well as an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It’s considerably lighter than the other two cars so far, tipping the scales at 1,742kg.

Last but not least, we have the BMW M2. Its 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged straight-six puts out 410hp and 550nm of torque. It has a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox, and is the only rear-wheel-drive car here. It’s also the lightest car here by some margin, coming in at 1,575kg.
