Audi RS3 vs Porsche 911 Turbo S vs BMW M5 drag race

December 26, 2020 by

In this drag race we’ve got a tuned Audi RS3 with 800hp and a BMW M5 tuned to 1000hp, so do either of these modded cars have what it takes to beat the Porsche 911 Turbo S?

Tap the video to watch the race.

A standard RS3 would get whipped in this drag race, with a power output of ‘just’ 400hp. But here we have an RS3 that’s been tuned to 800hp. It has a 7-speed dual-clutch S tronic gearbox and like the other cars here it’s four-wheel drive. It’s also the lightest car in this drag, weighing 1530kg. But will the power/weight ratio be enough to outrun the Porsche and the BMW?

The Porsche 911 Turbo S has won virtually every drag race it has entered, thanks to that 3.7-litre flat six engine that puts out 650hp. It’s the most expensive car in this race – starting at just under £156,000 but that doesn’t guarantee it a win here.

Or will honours go to the BMW M5 in this race? It has been tuned to 1000hp so it’s the most powerful car in this race, but it’s also the heaviest, weighing just under two tons. It’s quick, but how quick?

On paper it’s a win for BMW, then Audi, and then Porsche, right? Well, watch the video to find out.
