Aston Martin DBX price and release date
The Aston Martin DBX will go on sale next year and will be built at Aston’s new factory in Wales. Prices have yet to be confirmed for the car but you can expect it to be priced from around £150,000 for an entry-level model – about the same as you’ll pay for a Bentley Bentayga and quite a lot less than Rolls Royce Cullinan.
Aston Martin DBX specs
While these official pictures show the Aston DBX covered head to toe in wrap, they still give you a decent idea what to expect from the company’s first SUV. The classic upright SUV body and raised ride height may have Aston Martin aficionados – the types that might buy an Aston Martin DB11 GT car – running for the hills, but the extra interior space its boxier shape brings will make the DBX the first Aston that’s a realistic car for families. Even then, the DBX’s grille couldn’t be mistaken for anything other than an Aston’s front end and those curved flanks are also similar to what you’ll find on Aston’s sportier GT cars.
The performance will also be consistent with other Aston’s because the DBX will be fitted with the same 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 that powers the Aston Martin Vantage – in that car it produces 510hp, which would be enough to get the DBX from 0-60mph in roughly 4.5 seconds and on to a top speed of about 170mph. Unlike any other Aston Martin we can think of, the DBX will also be four-wheel drive so it’ll also be capable of light off-roading, though you’d need to be brave to attempt much more than that in a £150,000 SUV.
