In carwow’s newest drag race, it’s opulent super-saloon vs sports hybrid vs speedy four-door coupe! Watch below to see who comes out on top:
On paper, the Bentley Flying Spur looks like the favourite in this race. It’s powered by a gargantuan 6.0-litre, twin-turbocharged W12 and has the biggest torque stat of 900Nm. However, it’s also the heaviest car in the lineup, weighing just under 2.5 tonnes.
The Panamera, meanwhile, is slightly lighter, and is powered by both a 4.4-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine and an electric motor! As a result, it gets 680hp – more than the Flying Spur’s 635 stallions – and a close 850Nm torque. It can also go from 0-60mph in 3.4 seconds, pipping the Bentley, which can do the same in 3.7.
The Audi RS7 may look like it will come up short. It only has 600hp, gets the smallest engine (a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8) and has a torque figure of 800Nm. However, at 2,140kg, it’s the lightest car of the trio. Will that be the difference-maker?
