Lamborghini Aventador generations drag race

May 13, 2022 by

We’ve assembled every generation of Lamborghini Aventador, from the original all the way to the Ultimae, for a showdown on our drag strip. You don’t want to miss this race.

Let’s kick off with the original Lamborghini Aventador. Like all the cars here, it has a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine mounted in the middle of the car. This produces 700hp and 690Nm of torque, which goes to all four wheels via a seven sped robotised manual gearbox. The OG Aventador tips the scales at 1,575kg.

Next up, we have the Lamborghini Aventador S. It turns up the wick with 740hp and 690Nm of torque from the same V12 engine. It too is all-wheel-drive, and it weighs the same 1,575kg as the first car.

Upping the anti again is the Aventador SV. It gets 10 more horsepower than the S, with 750hp, and it gets the same 690Nm of torque. It’s slightly lighter than the S though, coming in at 1,525kg.

The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is next in line. Its 6.5-litre V12 has 770hp and is the first here to get more torque at 720Nm. Like the SV, it weighs 1,525kg and has all-wheel-drive.

Finally, Mat will be driving the final edition of the Lamborghini Aventador: the Ultimae. The 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 gets 780hp and 720Nm of torque, fed to all four wheels via a seven-speed robotised manual gearbox. It’s slightly heavier than the SV and the SVJ at 1,550kg.

So which of these big Lamborghinis is your money on? This is one drag race you don’t want to miss.
