The Kia EV9 is ideal for those who need more space. Ample legroom in the rear and third-row seats that can actually be used by adults make this Korean SUV a versatile all-rounder. Clever storage solutions and a spacious boot make traveling pleasant and comfortable, even with larger families.
The interior is not only practical, but also extremely well-made. Most of the materials feel solid and high-quality, and the EV9’s tech features are truly impressive. Two 12.3-inch screens are standard, and they’re easy to read though the infotainment screen is a bit far away to reach while driving.
Speaking of driving, thanks to its smooth suspension, the EV9 is a comfortable cruiser that remains quiet even at motorway speeds. It’s also surprisingly easy to drive around town thanks to its responsive steering and excellent all-round visibility.
One annoying thing to note, however, is the constant beeping of the oversensitive driver assistance systems. It’s great that the EV9 comes with loads of safety technology as standard, but the constant blaring can get annoying after a while, and you have to dig through the menus every time you start the car to turn off the cacophony.
Aside from these minor flaws, the Kia EV9 can easily compete with its more expensive German alternatives. It feels classy, offers plenty of interior space, and is a great car to drive.
