Va-Va-Vooom! Renault has created some great TV adverts over the years, ensuring that brand awareness of the marque is high amongst consumers, which should have led to better sales than they are currently enjoying.

It’s a shame, because Renault makes a lot of very good cars – and some that aren’t so great. The Espace (both versions) is starting to feel its age and is outclassed by some of its rivals, and the Megane and Twingo aren’t getting great reviews either.

But, everything else is very good indeed, with the Clio getting very good reviews – and that holds true for every version of it from bargain basement to hot-hatch! There is a flowing, sporting nature to most Renaults that makes them very satisfying to own and drive.
